Maphack vs Ward Vision — What's the Difference?
New buyers toggle both and wonder why the screen looks wrong. Maphack and ward vision solve different problems — here is when to use each.

Maphack draws geometry
Maphack removes fog of war on terrain and shows enemy heroes last seen on map. It does not replace true vision — you still cannot see invisible heroes without sentries.
Best for rotations and smoke breaks. Terrible if you stare at map instead of lane creeps.
Ward vision is precision
Ward ESP highlights observer and sentry wards through trees. Pair with dewarding range indicator for offlane wins.
I run ward vision always, maphack only on supports and initiators.
